Nestlé
I worked on web optimization projects for many of Nestlé’s food brands. These projects included image refreshes, new landing pages, and much more. I primarily used Sketch and Photoshop for these projects. In most cases, I provided the client with two or three design options, and worked through the feedback in several rounds until it was approved. Some of the projects implemented a new user experience to the website, such as restructuring the navigation and product listing pages. I also worked on brand library organization and many quality assurance projects to ensure design consistency.
Some of my most notable projects are shown below.
El Mejor Nido Seasonal Refreshes
Throughout the year, the El Mejor Nido website was updated with new imagery to celebrate each holiday. This website directs users to find recipes using Nestle products. I worked on several of these holiday refreshes. Using the available photography of the brand’s recipes, I created fun and captivating visuals in Photoshop that served as the home page header images and brand spotlight components.
Maggi® Product Category page
The client wanted to refresh their product category page to have a better flow and more modern appearance. They provided an example website that they liked, which I used for design inspiration. I created several wireframe designs—thinking through which components would be most beneficial for the user experience. For the design, I used striking yellow backgrounds with pops of colorful garnishes that bring life to the products. Dark backgrounds of images contrast nicely with the bright brand colors. Overall, I wanted the design to elevate Maggi’s modern and sophisticated brand and bring strong flavor appeal.
Digiorno Sustainability page
It has become popular for brands to put more emphasis on their sustainability efforts. DiGiorno wanted to add a new page to their website to talk about their regenerative agricultural practices. I created the design of this new sustainability landing page. First, I provided the client with different wireframe options. Then in the next round, I explored three separate design styles with different uses of photography and illustration. I used stock imagery that worked well with the page’s content and fit with DiGiorno’s brand.
Nido Comparison Chart
The client wanted a custom chart that would allow users to compare their products on a product detail page. Because there was no component with this capability available in the Nestlé Alpha library, this chart had to be custom coded from HTML. This project involved careful consideration of how to best organize the information so that users could clearly understand and compare the products. In the first design round, I provided the client with three different options of design and content organization.
It was also important to consider how the chart was viewed on different screen sizes. We wanted all three products to remain side-by-side for users on mobile devices, as stacked modules would not work as well for comparison. I designed the chart to work fluidly across all devices.
