Senior Capstone Project
In Other Words
The mission of the In Other Words campaign is to motivate Americans to learn another language as a way to explore other cultures. The brand's main platform is the website which informs its audience about how to get started learning a new language, including reviews of several popular language-learning apps. In Other Words also introduces a messaging app to provide a way for learners to apply their new knowledge in the context of conversation. The business cards serve as an important part of the campaign to create a fun and playful tone that will catch people's attention and motivate them to learn more by directing them to the website.
Research:
I explored the problem through 3 different lenses: Psychology, Communication, and Global Studies. The research from these areas helped inform my design decisions.

Design Strategy:
I determined what outcomes would be the best solutions for the problem. I decided that the brand needed to be a way to spread awareness, a platform to house the information, and a way for users to apply learning. This led to me to create business cards and digital ads, a website, and a language learning app.
Capstone Process Book
This book includes all of the research that I conducted for this project through three lenses: Psychology, Communications, and Global Studies. It also includes my design exploration and the final identity of the In Other Words brand.
